Doublet was awarded LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s fifth annual prize in Paris this afternoon, proving that high-fashion streetwear is here to stay.

The prize includes a year’s worth of mentoring and €300,000; runner-up, Rokh, was awarded €150,000. The judging panel included legendary designers Karl Lagerfeld, Nicolas Ghesquière (Louis Vuitton), Clare Waight Keller (Givenchy), Marc Jacobs, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim (Kenzo). Talk about a stamp of approval.

Masayuki Ino is the designer behind the brand, which shows at Tokyo Fashion Week and is currently being sold at Dover Street Market. Doublet beat several cult-favorites including Eckhaus Latta, Matthew Adams Dolan, Kwaidan Editions, Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, Ludovic de Saint Sernin, Botter, and A-Cold-Wall.
