Dior Men and Travis Scott Collaboration Postponed Indefinitely
After the Astroworld Festival tragedy, Travis Scott's upcoming Dior collection "Cactus Jack Dior" has been delayed indefinitely.
Travis Scott second collaboration with Dior Men has now been postponed indefinitely in the wake of last year's Astroworld tragedy. The Grammy-winning rapper and long-time boyfriend to Kylie Jenner has been organizing the annual music festival in his hometown of Houston since 2018.
This year's Astroworld was of increased interest as the festival had been cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19. The concert, which gathered about 50,000 people, ended tragically after 10 people died and hundreds were injured. Following the event, many called out the rapper for the event's poor security and organization. The incident is still under investigation.
Dior Men's Creative Director Kim Jones previously collaborated with Scott for the Spring/Summer 2022 menswear collection. Their next collaboration, titled "Cactus Jack Dior," named after Scott's own creative collective, was expected to be released this January. However, the launch of the capsule collection was delayed "until an indefinite date."
