Clad in a timelessly chic black dress, Chiara Ferragni made her return to social media and the fabulous world of fashion after weeks of silence. With extreme elegance, but certainly not on tiptoe, Ferragni wore a now-iconic dress by Mônot that spurred followers and critics to anticipate a new era from the Italian influencer following her very public divorce. Rather than past controversies, Ferragni's stunning gown prompted comments praising her strength and determination in pursuing her career as an influencer and longtime figure in the public eye, begging the question, is Chiara finally ready to reaffirm her presence in the fashion industry and Italian pop culture?

While the dress certainly represented a new style era for the influencer, for many, it also recalled the famous "revenge dress" worn by Princess Diana in the '90s. Longtime fans have dubbed Ferragni's frock the "revenge dress" due to the similarities between Ferragni's divorce and Princess Diana's public separation from King Charles. Back in the '90s, Lady Di donned the dress after King Charles and Camilla were first seen in public together, and fans have pointed out that Ferragni has posted photos in the 2024 version of the "revenge dress" after Fedez, her ex-husband, was spotted in California with his alleged new flame, Giulia Ottorini, an OnlyFans creator.

Despite the difficulties of the public divorce, Ferragni remained cool and collected in her return to social media, and accompanied the Instagram photos of her dress with a caption revolving solely around her support for the Francesco Vezzoli exhibition—the event that she donned the dress for.

"Happy to be in Venice for the opening of the beautiful 'Musei delle Lacrime' exhibition by my friend Francesco Vezzoli at the unique Correr Museum. Curated by Donatien Grau, the exhibition presents a selection of Francesco's works together with some created for this occasion, alongside the museum's masterpieces by painters such as Cosmè Tura, Jacopo, Gentile and Giovanni Bellini, Antonello da Messina and Vittore Carpaccio. The project also pays homage to the architect Carlo Scarpa and his majestic work on the museum and on the historical and artistic identity of Venice," she wrote on Instagram, with no mention of anything related to the Chiara Ferragni divorce situation the Internet can't stop talking about.

Further emphasizing a new style after the Chiara Ferragni divorce era, the influencer has recently donned a series of new looks that emphasize a darker, more sensual style than she was typically known to sport.

Here, Ferragni has donned a matching blazer and mini skirt featuring royal blue velvet that recalls another one of Princess Diana's famous post-divorce looks, further emphasizing the similarity between the two women in the eyes of the public. Ferragni styled the look with knee-high leather boots and a sheer, open-knit top under the blazer, making a bold style statement in her comeback era.

While the Internet is still preoccupied with the Chiara Ferragni divorce and the scandal surrounding it, the influencer herself appears to be living her best life, clad in chic new clothing and enjoying the Italian summer sunshine in the company of her closest friends and young children.
