These days, it's practically a given that you will have some secondhand pieces in your wardrobe. The eco-friendly trend has skyrocketed in popularity over the last few years. From luxury consignment stores to your local thrift shop, and then to online marketplaces, there are a plethora of places to buy one-of-a-kind garments.

The thrift shopping movement has grown so massive that it's being celebrated in holiday form: National Secondhand Wardrobe Day. If you're like us, you know the only way to truly commemorate this occasion is to do some shopping of your own. Luckily, we've rounded up a list of where to start looking.

Like everyone else, celebrities are getting in on the vintage action. A few have even shared their favorite places to go for retro Chanel suits and worn-in graphic tees. Check out all their recommendations here.

Sami Miro Vintage

This online shop, based out of LA, is a favorite of celebrities looking for re-worked vintage pieces. Old jeans and jackets are cut up, then stitched back together with elaborate hems and twists. Bella Hadid and Dua Lipa can both be seen on the brand's Instagram page wearing one-of-a-kind garments. A white crop top from Sami Miro also made a recent appearance in Billie Eilish's "Lost Cause" music video

What Goes Around Comes Around

Celebrity love for What Goes Around Comes Around isn't hard to find. Kim Kardashian and Madonna are both featured heavily in its Instagram posts. Kendall Jenner has been papped leaving its New York storefront. The company boasts selling the "finest luxury vintage," a real catch for the rich and famous who clamor for archival goods

Resurrection Vintage

Resurrection Vintage is a hot spot for celebs. The company's website features an entire gallery dedicated to its highest-profile clients. Miley Cyrus is a frequent collaborator, alongside Ariana Grande. Even Beyoncé has been captured in a Resurrection piece. Though its clothing can all be purchased online, there is also a flagship LA boutique.

Treasures of NYC

Name a celeb who isn't a fan of Treasures of NYC. It's hard to do. The Instagram-based shop has amassed a huge following since being spotted on all manner of famous persons. The Hadid sisters, the Jenners and Kardashians, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Lily Rose Depp: they're all customers.

Metropolis Vintage

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna were recently spotted ducking out of Metropolis Vintage, a staple thrift spot for college kids and celebrities alike. The store is located on New York's Lower East Side. It stores an impressive collection of old, graphic t-shirts. Plus, a few more eclectic vintage finds.

Procell

Speaking of Rihanna, fans can also dip into Procell, a vintage shop in NYC that boasts a large selection of '80s and '90s garments. Other fans of the shop include Madonna, Bella Hadid, The Weeknd, and Hunter Schaefer. Find the shop on the Lower East Side.
