This year, Carolina Herrera’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection amplified the office siren aesthetic with looks ranging from sleek and minimalistic to abstract and conceptual. In his sixth year as creative director for the brand, Wes Gordon pays homage to the working woman with a particular appreciation for the ‘80s and '90s, as shown in looks featuring puff sleeves and wide-shouldered blazers. The occasional pop of color in the form of yellow, pink, or textured gold gives the collection the rich flair that the fashion house is known for.

Opening the show is a model dressed in a sleek red turtleneck coupled with black trousers with a dramatic ruched attachment. The opening look was followed by a simple black blazer and trouser combo and a black and white striped strapless gown. The strong and classic silhouettes and designs emboldened by this collection pay tribute to the power and resilience that exists in women. "The most beautiful women I know are powerful, strong, and resilient. I designed the Carolina Herrera Fall 2024 collection to reflect this strength," said Gordan. In contrast to the last Fall/Winter collection's homage to the opulence of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, it’s evident that this year’s focus is on the modern woman.

Floral gowns, ruched satin, and several ruffled pieces also took center stage today at the Continental Center, an office high-rise in the Financial District. Notably, supermodel Irina Shayk graced the runway in a pink floral ball gown elegantly styled with a red lip, a slick back bun, and statement gold flower-shaped earrings. Another striking floral look was shown on supermodel Caroline Trentini in the form of a deep purple gown featuring printed lilies on the fabric and dramatic ruffled sleeves. Several embellished looks also took to the runway including look 49, which is a head-to-toe gold set with woven beading.

In the audience sat familiar faces, including Demi Moore, Becky G, and Carolina Herrera herself.
