Carolina Herrera Fall 2019
Carolina Herrera's Fall 2019 show was a garden full of colors capable of brightening even the grayest of days. This new collection came to life with a stage showcasing greenhouse flowers at the New York Historical Society Museum.
Inspired by minimal balance and drama, the photographer Robert Mapplethorpe highlights its presence by creating floral compositions that express the grace and magnetism of women while celebrating the essential beauty of nature.
Great brushstrokes of color join extreme proportions, while proposals of tulle in sky blue appear embroidered with nectarine flowers. Earthly shades in chiffon entertain with elements that evoke yellow taxis, bringing a spontaneous dynamism to the garment.
The floral interpretation of the creative director, Wes Gordon, took shape in pieces and silhouettes that moved with grace and ease in the new collection.
