Brunello Cucinelli Debuts New Design Concept Casa Cucinelli in New York
In addition to its newly expanded Madison Avenue flagship, a private client shopping experience, Casa Cucinelli, fully expresses the elements of the Italian luxury brand's lifestyle.
Italian luxury lifestyle brand Brunello Cucinelli debuted a new design concept and private client experience in New York, Casa Cucinelli, designed to fully and intimately immerse clients into the brand's lifestyle. Located at 689 Fifth Avenue, the luxury outpost is just blocks away from the brand's newly expanded Madison Avenue flagship, reflecting the brand's commitment to creating in-person connections.
“For anyone who utters the word 'home,' the feeling of welcome and hospitality that we have always sought to pursue here in Solomeo is immediate," founder Brunello Cucinelli said of Casa Cucinelli. "And we liked to think that we could transfer a part of this identity...also to our offices around the world."
The feeling of a home is prominent immediately upon entry, as clients are transported into Cucinelli's vision of the ideal New York City. From the Italian oak wood floor, hand selected antiques, to the kitchen marble sourced from Michelangelo's famous quarry, every detail is reflective of the core brand aesthetic in building a high-touch environment to deepen everyone's connection while shopping the collections.
"The kitchen, the living room, the study, but also the library that wants to convey our love for books, all the rooms speak of the ideal identity of the Italian home, and represent the Places of the Soul," said Cucinelli.
Guests are first invited into the lounge when they walk in, with the heart of an Italian home, the kitchen, in the foreground. Tradition meets innovation as the surroundings are reminiscent of old noble gates and late 19th to early 20th century art. The living room features two modern sofas and two reading armchairs, both of which sit on a hand-woven silk carpet. At the center is a Sahara noir Carrara marble coffee table highlighted with dark tones and light gold veins.
The study room features a modern clay desk to match the walls, serving as a backdrop for two chaise lounges with upholstery hand-stitched by Umbrian craftsmen. Off in the dressing room is a 1920s table with a crystal glass top, further showcasing the elegance of the entire estate.
"It is a space that we hope will fully express all the elements making up our idea of Italian lifestyle," Cucinelli continued.
Inviting friends to experience this Italian way of life and celebrate Casa Cucinelli and the expansion of the Madison Avenue flagship, Carolina Cucinelli, the brand's Co-President and Co-Creative Director, and other memebers of the Cucinelli family hosted a cocktail party at the Madison Avenue boutique with guests including Simon Huck, Laura Kim, Fernando Garcia, Stefano Tonchi, and more. The evening featured Italian drinks and bites along with a festive performance by Broadway star Shoshana Bean. Following the cocktail, VIP clients and friends of the brand, like Ms. Bean and Martha Stewart, joined the Cucinelli family at Casa Cipriani's Jazz Room for an intimate dinner and performance by Gotham Kings.
