Posh Evening Looks Grace Brandon Maxwell's Fall/Winter 2024 Runway

At the Brooklyn Navy Yard's Duggal Greenhouse, Brandon Maxwell displays an elevated display of monochromatic dresses, sweaters, skirts, and oversized bags, to name a few. The collection thoughtfully merged flowy feminine lines with chunky accessories to create streamlined looks. The opening look, a pure white dress with a flash of red footwear, set the swanky, posh tone of the collection.
Silver, grey, and black were the collection’s dominant colors, although there was the occasional and very welcome pop of color. The mustard yellow printed maxi dress with the olive ankle-length cardigan over top comes to mind. The cool tone over the warm creates an attractive contrast, while the rich red boots give it the finishing touch it deserves. The closing piece, the graceful leaf print maxi dress, paired with the textured silver earrings, adds an appreciated final taste to Maxwell’s silky array of garments.
Other notable looks include the turtlenecked silver dress. A look dominated by silver may seem bold to some, but the look feels lush and natural rather than forced and flashy.
