As a continuation of their Art of Collaboration series, Bottega Veneta rolled out a series of collaborative film projects which also doubles up as a digital-first advertising campaign.

The Art of Collaboration series started in 2001 as a photography project where Creative Director Thomas Maier worked with fine-art photographers to narrate the brand's advertising campaigns and evolved into the film project in an effort to speak to the consumers of today.

Titled Reflections, the Spring 2018 campaign consists of six distinct and cinematic films, each with a different storyline. “We have always told stories about our products and our brand,” says Maier. “The evolution of the Art of Collaboration enables us to reach and have a dialogue with the customer on his or her own terms.”

Instead of collaborating with an individual, this series of Art of Collaboration features the work of multiple creatives like director Fabien Baron, Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Philippe Le Sourd, renowned set designer Stefan Beckman and record-producer and composer Johnny Jewel to bring Maier's vision to life.

After the first two films Miraggio and 196.6 MHz, the brand presents Utopia and Rebirth as a continuation of the series. Utopia features a man and woman whose paths crosses in the midst of a mysterious pink fog to stimulate an idealistic, dreamy world. In Rebirth, the reversal of time is the key and the story is narrated by the movement of light and objects.
