Beyoncé and Jay-Z Star in 'About Love' Campaign for Tiffany & Co.
The couple embodies power, luxury, and life-long love in Tiffany's Fall/Winter 2021 campaign.
Individually, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are stars, but together, they have become a powerhouse of the entertainment industry. As one of the world's greatest superstar couples, the pair star in the Fall/Winter 2021 campaign for Tiffany & Co., titled "About Love," dedicated to some of history's greatest love stories.
In the new ad campaign, the "Drunk in Love" singer appears in the world of Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Equals Pi in a floor-length LBD with mesh panels and sheer black gloves as a reimagined Holly Golightly, Audrey Hepburn's character in the iconic film Breakfast at Tiffany's. Clasped around her neck is the 128.54-carat Tiffany Diamond—a focal point of the brand which Lady Gaga also wore to the 2019 Oscars. At her side, Jay-Z is dressed in an elegant black tuxedo illuminated by cuff links recreated from jewelry designer Jean Schlumberger’s Bird on a Rock brooch. Various pieces from Schlumberger’s other designs as well as the T by Tiffany collection are seen throughout the campaign.
“Beyoncé and Jay-Z are the epitome of the modern love story. As a brand that has always stood for love, strength, and self-expression, we could not think of a more iconic couple that better represents Tiffany’s values. We are honored to have the Carters as a part of the Tiffany family," said Alexandre Arnault, Executive Vice President of Product & Communications.
The couple's alliance with the LVMH brand was announced in Beyoncé's Harper's Bazaar September 2021 cover story published earlier this month. The campaign film was shot by Emmanuel Adjei, while Jay-Z himself recorded his wife's rendition of "Moon River" on a Super 8 camera. The video was filmed at the Orum House in Los Angeles.
In addition to the new partnership with the Carters, Tiffany & Co. has promised $2 million to support scholarship and internship programs at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
The full "About Love" print campaign launches on September 2, while the adjoining video will have its worldwide debut on September 15. Follow-up films in the series directed by Dikayl Rimmasch and Derek Milton will premiere later this year.
