Of Indian and Persian origin, the Paisley print has been present at various times throughout the history of fashion, mainly in the '70s as a symbol of the hippie movement. It also became tied to the bandana accessory, and is now pretty much synonymous with it (hence the bandana print trend). Paisley made a brief comeback in the early 2000s, appearing in tops and accessories. Nowadays, according to Stylight, the bandana print has seen a 121 percent increase in searches, and has become a top trend for summer 2021.

Here, we look at the trend being sported by fashion girls across the globe.
