For the first time, Balenciaga is working with online retailers on a men's and women's capsule collection, which will take inspiration from the brand's spring 2018 show. Balenciaga x Net-a-Porter is releasing 53 pieces and Balenciaga x Mr. Porter is releasing 34 pieces, with some exclusive designs available only to the retailers. Prices range from a $100 socks to a $4,930 biker jacket.
Although it's the label's first collaboration with a retailer, Creative Director Demna Gvasalia is an expert when it comes to teaming up with other brands. His show for Vetements Spring 2017 alone had included 18 collaborators such as Canada Goose, Levi's and Comme des Garçons. Is Gvasalia slowly leading Balenciaga in the same direction?
