While the younger crowd would commonly scoff at skinny jeans&mdash;immediately associating them with the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/what-is-cheugy-fashion-trends-tiktok-gen-z" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cheugy</a> Millennial aesthetic and a &lsquo;Live, Laugh, Love&rsquo; mom vibe&mdash;it seems like the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/indie-sleaze-aesthetic-2010s-trend-comeback-era" target="_blank" rel="noopener">indie sleaze</a> revival has potentially brought skinny jeans back into the realm of cool. <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/amy-winehouse-outfits-style-iconic-looks" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Amy Winehouse</a>, the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/courtney-taylor-olsen-twins-secret-sister" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Olsen twins</a>, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/lila-moss-channels-kate-moss-with-glastonbury-look-biker-boots" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kate Moss</a> are some of the most beloved <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/kurt-cobain-90s-grunge-style-impact" target="_blank" rel="noopener">grungy</a> legends from the early aughts, and what do they all have in common? Yes, you guessed it: skinny jeans.&nbsp;
But we can&rsquo;t only blame the Camden-girl style revival when it comes to skinny jeans restoring their cool status. As history has shown time and again, when fashion trends reach an extreme, the pendulum is bound to swing back toward the opposite end&mdash;think how we went from <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/mini-bag-fashion-trend-fall-winter-2020-fashion-week" target="_blank" rel="noopener">itty bitty purses</a> to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/large-crossbody-bags" target="_blank" rel="noopener">oversized totes</a>, and from super high-rise bottoms to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/low-rise-shorts-trend-y2k-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">low-rise styles</a>. That being said, while extra wide-legged pants have been a staple in collections from every major fashion brand (from <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/balenciaga-2024-couture-show" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Balenciaga</a> to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/loewe-mens-spring-summer-2025-fashion-show-review-images" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Loewe</a>) throughout the past seasons, designers may have decided that it&rsquo;s time to make that inevitable 180-degree turn and bring back those nostalgic form-fitting silhouettes.

If seeing <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/how-to-style-soccer-jersey-football-jersey-womens" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bella Hadid</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/lila-moss-channels-kate-moss-with-glastonbury-look-biker-boots" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lila Moss</a> sporting those leg-hugging styles in 2024 isn&rsquo;t enough to convince you of the skinny jean comeback, then the latest fashion shows from top designers should erase any doubt. While the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/fall-winter-2024-fashion-trends-runway" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fall/Winter 2024 runways</a> saw no shortage of denim looks and Canadian tuxedos, it was the resurgence of skinny jeans that turned heads amongst the fashion crowd. While <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/a-brief-history-of-the-miu-miu-girl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Miu Miu</a> went for skin-hugging denim-on-denim looks, styled with fuzzy coats and black leather accessories, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/balenciaga-new-summer-souvenirs-objects-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Balenciaga</a> chose to play with opposite dimensions by pairing their slim-cut denim styles with oversized leather jackets and (extra) chunky scarves. Plus, let's not overlook the use of thigh high boots to put emphasis on the skinny silhouettes. Similarly, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/alexander-mcqueen-fall-winter-2024-campaign-photos-sean-mcgirr" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alexander McQueen</a>&rsquo;s Se&aacute;n McGirr also thought skinny jeans and fur were the perfect match for fall 2024, and therefore opted to pair these leg-hugging styles with sculptural fuzzy tops that almost took the attention away from the strappy details that surrounded the skinny denim styles.&nbsp;

While it may take us a bit to get fully acquainted with the idea, skinny jeans may have officially reestablished their place in contemporary fashion. Hopefully, those old skinny jeans you wore over and over many years ago are still laying in the back of your closet waiting for their glorious comeback. While it won&rsquo;t be easy to style these skin-hugging styles at first, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/knee-high-boots-style-fashion-shopping" target="_blank" rel="noopener">high boots</a>, oversized blazers, and fuzzy coats will probably become key tools to welcome skinny jeans back into your life. And although these form-fitting styles aren&rsquo;t everyone&rsquo;s cup of tea, we can still see some charm in reviving this nostalgic style. If skinny jeans are actually flattering or not, that&rsquo;s a conversation for another time.
