Ami Launches Ami X IFM Entrepreneurship Prize for Future Fashion Leaders

Behind every fashion brand is a group of businesspeople dedicated to promoting the company's designs and defining its image. While much of fashion rests on the shoulders of designers, the entrepreneurs behind the scenes are the ones running the show—literally. To help facilitate the next generation in the fashion industry, Ami has joined forces with the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM), one of the leading fashion schools in the world, to launch the Ami x IFM Entrepreneurship Prize.

The award will be presented for the first time in 2022 to one student from any of the school's areas of study. Students will be asked to construct a "professional project" that demonstrates their skill and creativity in fashion business. IFM will pre-select projects from those submitted. The chosen projects will advance to being presented to the jury.

Jury members include Nicolas Santi-Weil, CEO of Ami; Alexandre Mattiussi, Founder and Creative Director of Ami; Sarah Andelman, Founder of Just an Idea; journalist Leila Slimani; Elisha Karmitz, Managing Director of Mk2 Group; author and composer Max Sokolinski; Pierre-Alexandre M'Pelé, Head of Editorial Content at GQ France; Deborah Papiernik, SVP of New Business & Strategic Alliances at Ubisoft; Delphine Plisson, Founder of Maison Plisson; and singer/songwriter Irma Pany.

"A large part of AMI’s success stems from an innovative association of great style and bold entrepreneurship," said Santi-Weil. "This approach perfectly finds its expression in the Prix De L’Entrepreneuriat Ami x IFM. Together, AMI and Institut Français de la Mode are committed to involve young people, to encourage them to initiate the decision process, by raising awareness for the limitless opportunities they can generate as entrepreneurs. Initiating this project, giving free reign to the entrepreneurial spirit of the next generation of  leaders, is a huge source of pride for me."

The winner of the Ami x IFM Entrepreneurship Prize will receive a one-year mentorship from each member of the jury.
