Following Charles de Vilmorin's departure in April 2023, Philippe Bénaçin, CEO of Interparfums, has announced Alessandro Vigilante as the brand's new creative director. He said, “I am delighted to welcome Alessandro as Creative Director of Ready-To-Wear. His work is defined by elegance, modern femininity and constant research into women's bodily expression. Through his lens, he will write a new chapter for this Maison built on boldness, femininity and sophistication.”

Vigilante initially pursued a career as a contemporary dancer, then began his career in the fashion industry working for brands like Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Lorenzo Serafini, and The Attico, before striking out on his own with his debut collection in 2021. Of Italian nationality, born in Puglia, he trained at the IED Moda Lab in Milan where he graduated with honors. In addition to being an expert stylist with sartorial skill and product expertise, Vigilante is a voracious consumer of art, film, photography, and dance.

In a statement, Vigilante spoke of his new title, saying, “I am honored and grateful to join Maison Rochas and to have the opportunity to develop the rich and profound heritage of the Maison. Rochas represents a dedication to French sophistication and a celebration of femininity that I find incredibly inspiring. I can't wait to convey my vision."

Vigilante will present his first collection for Rochas in February during the Fall/Winter 2024 season of Paris Fashion Week.
