Bella Hadid is proving to be the queen of the Y2K comeback. We pick out all the Y2k trends she has been sporting on Instagram.

Camo Cargo pants and Colored Tops

Cargo pants and colored tops were a thing of the early '00s. Y2K It girl Lizzie Mcguire (played by Hilary Duff) once wore a candy, pastel pink top with camo cargo pants, and it goes without saying that her wardrobe personified Y2K fashion. Drawing inspiration from the era, Hadid paired her cargo pants with a burgundy crop top that featured a leopard print heart and trims around the sleeves. A vampy red lip added a touch of '90s grunge to the look that was completed with the ultimate Y2K hairdo, space buns.

Denim Mini and Cardigans

Hadid's low-rise, pleated, denim mini skirt and cardigan combination is a look straight out of the 2000s. The denim mini featured a funky, graphic print and the cardigan, stripes in shades of pink and orange. Low-rise mini skirts and bright colors and mixed prints were big back in the Y2K era and she went full out for this look with a bright yellow claw clip and even more prints in the form of a black and yellow checkered shoulder bag. She kept her shoes simple, a pair of knee-high black boots that added a bit of a contemporary touch.

Twinsets

Twinsets and micromesh fabrics were another popular Y2K trend, as were dark florals. In a sexy, sultry dinner look, Hadid paired a micromesh floral, lettuce hem midi skirt with a matching, slightly sheer open cardigan. The Y2K vibe continued as she styled her hair with streaky highlights that perfectly framed her face. This look had a '90s/early '00s goth vibe to it but was still incredibly chic. It would not have looked out of place on an episode of the original Charmed series.

Bootcut Jeans and Halter Tops

Bootcut, low-slung jeans and halter tops were yet another trend back in the Y2K times. Hadid's faded, bootcut jeans featured a unique cross-over waistband and double zippers. She teamed the jeans with a black, corset-style halter top and layered resin necklaces. This look gave off some seriously edgy Bratz Doll vibes.

Flared Jeans and Cami Tops

Hadid's caption on this one said it all, "Used to make these jeans for ppl during Math class to get my stack up so I could buy my 1st car. Where'd U get urs?" These were the sort of jeans she made back in high school so yes, Y2K alert. The paisley print flared jeans were paired with another staple of the time, the duo colour spaghetti strap cami top. These Y2K styled cami tops often featured a base color with contrasting color trims. She accessorised with more staple trends of the era, a layered necklace and a Louis Vuitton shoulder bag.
