Vivienne Westwood's Fall/Winter 2021 Collection Embodies French Rococo Paintings
Crossing paths once again, art and fashion bring to life the new Fall/Winter 2021 collection from Vivienne Westwood, which found inspiration from the rococo painting Daphnis and Chloe by the French artist François Boucher.
The creations feature the British designer's modern punk and new wave style in a mix of romance and strength with traditional woolen fabrics in prints like herringbone and Prince of Wales plaid. Sustainability was also a priority in the production of the collection. The pieces feature recycled jeans, viscose, and organic silks, all the result of an innovative ecological system recently acquired by the fashion house.
Silhouettes stand out for being timeless and bold, which further reinforces the central objective of the collection: as well as the ideals defended by Vivienne Westwood herself, it's a necessary and quality wardrobe that will be coveted in the coming seasons.
