Pharrell Williams Upgrades Pearlcore in New Tiffany & Co. Titan Collection
Tiffany & Co. and Pharrell unveil the third phase of their collaboration, featuring rare Tahitian pearls and an innovative prongless diamond setting that redefines modern luxury.
Pearlcore just got a lot cooler. Tiffany & Co. unveiled the third phase of its Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams Collection Tuesday morning, introducing a new expression of its luxurious jewelry. Building on the previous phase, which introduced freshwater pearls to the collection, this latest release contrasts with the addition of Tahitian pearls, which are darker and more dramatic in tone. New pieces span an $8,200 pearl-set gold ring to a $60,000 pearl necklace with diamond details.
Hand-selected from the tropical lagoons of French Polynesia, according to Tiffany & Co., these high-luster Tahitian pearls—each over 11 millimeters in diameter—feature gray tones with subtle purple and green overtones. The brand emphasizes its desire to use the most exceptional and rare materials, like the Tahitian pearls while also championing artistic collaboration. (Pharrell, after all, has been a longtime and highly sought-after designer (and musician).) Since his appointment as the men's creative director of Louis Vuitton in 2023, he seems to be working even more closely with fellow LVMH brand.
“It is incredibly fulfilling as an artist to take something as established and well-known as pearl jewelry and reinvent it; to put my creative spin on it,” Pharrell said in a press release statement. "I am fortunate that Tiffany & Co. has given me the tools, the opportunity, and their trust to continue to build on a classic and make it something new.”
Alongside these designs, the collection also debuts the jeweler's new Titan Setting, a prongless diamond setting that enhances the jewelry's brilliance with a floating effect. Designed to enhance the natural brilliance of Tiffany’s diamonds, the setting features a special floating platform, which lifts the stone above its base without the use of prongs or bezels. The diamond appears to hover, creating an almost ethereal effect. This new technique is incorporated into pendants, earrings, and rings, all featuring the Titan collection’s signature spear motif—a reference to Poseidon’s trident and to Atlantis, the Virginia Beach community where Pharrell was raised.
The new Titan designs are available starting today at Tiffany stores worldwide and online at Tiffany's website.
