Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2025: The Quintessential Female Archetype
Bella Hadid makes her return to the runway for Saint Laurent's sophisticated Spring/Summer 2025 show in Paris.
Saint Laurent's Spring/Summer 2025 collection, presented under Anthony Vaccarello's artistic direction, revisits the brand’s iconic heritage while reinventing the vision of the Saint Laurent woman for today. This season's collection explores womenswear's powerful, sensual, and multifaceted aspects.
The silhouettes in this collection include flowing suits, sleek jackets, and structured blazers, representing a timeless elegance that has long defined the label. This tailored aesthetic is contrasted by a more luxurious, skirt-heavy section of the collection, reminiscent of the vivid, painterly garments Yves often drew inspiration from.
The show's location and staging continued to set the mood for the collection. A courtyard was transformed with a striking dark linear structure, while an oval oculus offered a view of the night sky, invoking both a sense of mystery and grandeur with a blue floor that paid homage to the iconic gardens of Marrakech, a personal favorite of Yves himself.
Each look in the collection is named after women significant to the brand, a nod to the diverse models who have embodied the essence of the Saint Laurent woman over the years. These muses, with their unique allure and distinctive personalities, represent the novel feminine ideal that Yves Saint Laurent cherished.
Supermodel Bella Hadid made her comeback to the runway for the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2025 show, her first time walking in over two years after Miu Miu's Spring/Summer 2023 collection. To celebrate her grandiose return, Vaccarello suited her up in a piece directly inspired and dedicated to Mr. Saint Laurent himself, specifically "his signature style of dressing with fluid suits layered over blazers."
Stars like Kate Moss and Gwyneth Paltrow graced the front row to see the collection unfold and Hadid's comeback walk.
