Straight From Milan: Gucci's Fall/Winter 2023 Men's Collection is Here
The Italian fashion house kicked off Milan Fashion Week with its first show after the departure of Alessandro Michele, Gucci's star designer.
In the world of fashion, a new year means a new season of shows and collections. The week started with a new edition of Milan Men's Fashion Week in Italy, one of the most important men's fashion events in the world. On Friday, Gucci opened the week of events with its Fall/Winter 2023 men's collection.
This is the first show presented by the Italian fashion house since its iconic creative director, Alessandro Michele, announced his departure from Gucci in November 2022. What direction the post-Michele fashion house would take was the big question to kick off the show.
As Gucci has not yet chosen a successor to Michele, the collection was handled by the Maison's creative team. Metallic colors, leather, blazers, and glitter are some of the major themes throughout the collection. It was one of the most anticipated shows of this Fashion Week, which marks the return of Gucci to the men's catwalks after three years.
