Inspired by Rome, the Italian fashion house continues to lean into understated elegance.

A long, rectangular room set the scene for the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/fendi-fall-winter-2023-haute-couture-show-paris-fashion-week-every-look" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fendi</a> show with an all-white runway framed by magnified, giant-sized Fendi accessories sculpted in white plaster (including a sculpted Multi Bag which was first introduced in the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/fendi-fall-winter-2023-collection-runway-looks-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fall/Winter 2023 collection</a>), reminiscent of ancient Roman pillars. While the setting may have been grand, the collection was much more inclined to ease.
"When I am in Rome, every day I walk from the hotel to the Colosseum wearing my ear pods. It&rsquo;s like listening to a soundtrack to an imaginary film with Fendi characters I see along the way,"&nbsp;said Kim Jones, Fendi Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear, per the show notes.
"In Rome, there is an elegance in ease and not caring what anybody else thinks &ndash; that is real luxury. In this collection, I wanted to reflect that. It is about women who dress for themselves and their own lives, I see it with Silvia and Delfina all of the time. It&rsquo;s not about the spectacle of being looked at but the reality of wearing and the confidence and chicness that comes with it. It&rsquo;s not about being something but being someone," Jones continued.
Female sensibilities with masculine tailoring are combined, with Jones' chase for comfort and quiet confidence informing everything about the garments: oversized car coats; deconstructed knits reinvented as asymmetric dresses; satin column dresses. Beyond the silhouettes, intentional design details added a sense of elevation and modernity, such as the excess fabric on dresses and sweaters that was a playful take on proportions or the folded-over curtain waistbands of tailored trousers.&nbsp;
Gracing the runway was a color palette of earth tones, baby blue, and sunset orange, in the form of monochromatic and color-blocked moments. Also present was Jones' choice to use logomania, incorporating the FF logo pattern in the jewelry and clothing. Of course, you can't talk about Fendi without mentioning its bags. Favorites such as the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/marc-jacobs-fendi-peekaboo-bag-collaboration" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Peekaboo</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/fendi-tiffany-and-co-baguette-bag-hand-in-hand-initiative" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Baguette</a>, and Origami were carried on the catwalk, with the introduction of the new Flip, a shopper that folds into a clutch.
Never one to be short of A-list attendees, sitting front row were stars such as <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/demi-moore-young-photos-80s-90s" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Demi Moore</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/cara-delevigne-2023-met-gala-arrival" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cara Delevigne</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/suki-waterhouse-facts-robert-pattinson-daisy-jones-and-the-six-actress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Suki Waterhouse</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/janice-man-red-carpet-star-hong-kong" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Janice Man</a>, and Christina Ricci, alongside supermodels, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/naomi-campbell-most-iconic-90s-catwalk-moments" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Naomi Campbell</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/fendi-baguette-25th-anniversary-nyfw-runway" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Linda Evangelista</a>,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/young-kate-moss-90s-style-runway" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kate Moss</a>, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/save-the-date/amber-valletta-celebration-2019" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Amber Valletta</a>.
