Fendi Embraces Luxe Sport for Men's Spring/Summer 2023
Gen Z aesthetics in a mix of tailoring and skater looks, the new Fendi collection speaks to a new generation with no boundaries between casual and formal style.
The Fendi Men's Spring/Summer 2023 collection juxtaposes is poised between the leisure look that many are looking for and relaxed tailoring, in an ultra-delicate palette. Colors such as melon and indigo are paired with a massive presence of ocher, stucco, cornflower blue, and silver gray.
Used-effect trompe l'oeil prints on twill dresses and shirt-jackets, elongated five-pocket jeans, Baguette bags, and totes are monochrome or in a dappled patterned, while the characteristic Fendi monogram appears on fringed moccasins, denim or tank sole, shoulder bags, and a new skate sneaker that, in some cases, is embellished with beads.
Ultralight wool transformed formal trousers into pants that curled at the ankle, fueling the aesthetics of skate sneakers, chambray shorts, workwear overshirt (destined to become one of the key pieces), baggy shorts ideal for summer by the sea but also on more formal occasions. Minimal smart with forays into street culture.
