8 Must-Try Fashion Trends for Fall/Winter 2022

Strong tailoring is always a staple of fashion week, but this season's offerings take sleek tailoring to a more dramatic level with bigger silhouettes and exaggerated frames. Take Jil Sander's double-breasted jacket and skirt with a tapered frame and strong shoulder reminiscent of the '80s, or Louis Vuitton's XXXL blazer that brings a new meaning to the term "oversized."

Lovers of fur coats have plenty to be excited about—brands like Gucci and Michael Kors offered both oversized and bright styles. The trend is designed to be a statement piece, whether sticking to classic browns or hot pinks.

As the fur coat trend evolves, fuzzy accessories emerged as one of the most prolific trends this season. Bottega Veneta's orange fuzzy heels are already going viral, and Versace's green fur bucket hat is bound to be seen throughout your Instagram feed.

Almost every designer put their spin on the head-to-toe leather trend; leather sets, leather suits, leather coats, and even leather dresses were featured in abundance. Expect to see leather layered on leather, similar to Coach's and Peter Do's runway styling.

A long-awaited comeback, bomber jackets appeared in a puffer style from Loewe, a classic nylon style from Raf Simons, and a varsity sweater-turned-bomber look from Miu Miu—all of which offer distinct but wearable ways to incorporate the comfortable trend into your wardrobe. 

Several brands infused sporty elements into their ready-to-wear collections, most notably seen in Gucci's surprise collaboration with Adidas. Many of Gucci's looks featured Adidas' recognizable three-stripe branding, and other collections from Christian Dior and Off-White made football and soccer gear fashion.

Mohair sweaters were a go-to trend last season, and it appears they're here to stay in especially unique iterations. Fendi, known for its furs, adorned top model Bella Hadid in a delicate mohair coat, while Prada brought in mohair motifs in a variety of looks from their collection.

In either a trendy fur or classic leather, vibrant ombré and airbrushed color detailings were seen on bags throughout the runways. Between Off-White's tie-dye bags and Chanel's patchwork purses, bag options certainly will not be dull this season.
