Invasive surgery is no longer the end all-be all of cosmetic procedures. Through diligent massage, effective products, and a few of these treatments, you can plump and tighten the skin while avoiding going under the knife.

Acupuncture

Also called “aculifting,” the technique consists of placing about 20 needles on the points of the face connected to the meridians which cross the body and connect the organs. As a result, blood circulation and cell turnover increase. The needles contract and relax the muscles responsible for sagging, and also encourage the skin to produce more collagen and elastin. After six to eight sessions, the skin appears more plumped and features more defined.

Kobido Massage

Also referred to as Japanese facial massage, Kobido stimulates skin microcirculation, lymphatic drainage, and elimination of toxins. Alternating between pinching, rubbing, kneading and sliding movements, the massage relieves tension and results in a more sculpted-looking face. Results are visible from the first treatment, and can be maintained with a monthly massage.

Luxopuncture

This technique, based on the stimulation of lymphatic drainage and microcirculation, consists of sending heat to the deep layers of the skin to promote the contraction of the collagen fibers using an infrared beam. After eight sessions on average, skin appears visibly more tightened, particularly in the orbital area.

The Chinese Facelift

This ancestral technique stimulates the facial muscles and encourages a better circulation of energy. By targeting acupuncture points located on the skull, neck, trapezius, and face, the Chinese facelift relaxes tight areas, while pinching lifts the skin to smooth out wrinkles and stimulate lymphatic drainage.

Endermologie

Developed by French engineer Louis-Paul Guitay (LPG), Endermologie is a deep-tissue massage treatment often used to reduce the appearance of cellulite. However, it can also be used for anti-aging, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and plumping up areas that have become hollow. A small handheld device is passed over the face and neck, mechanically stimulating the skin. 8-10 sessions will give you a long-lasting refresh.
