Lana Del Rey & Jared Leto Star in the Gucci Guilty Campaign
Last November, Gucci announced musicians and Met Gala mates Jared Leto and Lana Del Rey as the faces of its Gucci Guilty fragrance campaign. The casting was not much of a surprise — Leto has long been an ambassador of the Italian brand and both are chummy with Creative Director Alessandro Michele — but we were dying to see how the pair would fit in Gucci's one-of-a-kind universe.
On Monday, Gucci showed us the answer by launching the #ForeverGuilty campaign on Instagram. Shot and directed by Glen Luchford, the campaign follows the pair as a quirky couple straight out of the '70s as they pay visits to quintessential American settings like a beauty salon, a diner, and a Laundromat.
Continuing to surprise us with the unexpected, Gucci also brought its animal symbols like the tiger and kingsnake to life in the accompanying short film, which even features a Courtney Love cameo—making it the second star-studded campaign we've seen this week.
