How to Get Thin, '90s-Inspired Eyebrows Without Plucking A Single Hair

We've heard too many horror stories about eyebrows never growing back.

Trends are cyclical, and eyebrows are no different. After 10 years of the bushy, full eyebrow look, the thin, waif-like '90s brow is coming back into style. All the top celebrities have been experimenting with eyebrows. From bleached eyebrows to thin, over-plucked brows, everyone has been excited to change up their look with something different and edgier.

We've also all been warned about women over-plucking their eyebrows, and having them never grow back. But, there's a way to get achieve these thin, '90s-inspired brows without pulling your tweezers out. In four simple, easy steps, L'OFFICIEL breaks down how to achieve this '90s, cool girl look.

Step 1: Fill in the center of the eyebrow with a brow pencil.

To start this '90s brow remake, take a brow pencil (we recommend the Refy Brow Pencil), and thinly fill in the center of your eyebrow, from the beginning to the tail. This will be the outline for your brow shape.

Step 2: Extend the eyebrow tail out and up.

This step is optional, but it will definitely make your eyebrows appear thinner. After applying the brow pencil to the center of your eyebrow, you can extend the tail of your brow. Extend it up and out to lengthen and straighten the brow, rather than bringing the end of your eyebrow down.

Step 3: Coat the eyebrow hairs with gel.

Next, coat your eyebrow generously with long-lasting eyebrow gel. (We love the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze.)

Step 4: Brush hairs up and then to the center of the brow bone.

With an eyebrow brush, brush your eyebrow hairs up. Once they are brushed through, push all of the hairs down and toward the center of the brow (following the penciled-in shape from Step One) to give your eyebrow a much thinner, '90s-inspired look.
