5 Ways to Get Heatless Curls
Do you want to curl your hair without the damage? Try these five heatless methods.
Do you also want beautiful curls like hair queen Negin Mirsalehi? Then try her trick for beautiful waves without heat. Here, discover the influencer's favorite trick along with four others for achieving heatless curls.
Bath Robe Curls
You don't have to buy anything for this technique—all you need are a hairpin, hair ties, and the belt of a bathrobe. Place the strap over your head from ear to ear and secure at the top with the hairpin. Take a lock of hair at the top and wrap it around the belt. Continue wrapping it around, picking up more hair each time, as if you were doing a French braid. Once all of your hair on the one side is wrapped around the belt, secure it at the bottom with an elastic band. Then, roll the hair and belt into a bun next to your ear and secure with an elastic. Repeat this process on the other side as well. Spritz with some sea salt spray or wavy hair product, and after a night's sleep you'll have beautiful curls.
Spiral Curlers
You can order these spiral curlers on Amazon. Start with damp hair and apply a styling product as desired for better curl hold and friz control, such as Aveda's Be Curly Curl Enhancer or Briogeo's Curl Charisma cream. Brush out your hair and get your spiral curlers out. Use the styling pin to pull your hair through the curlers strand by strand.
Beach Waves with Wave Curlers
These curlers work on the same principle as the spiral curlers, only you now create beach waves instead of classic curls. Finish the look with wave spray (like Oribe's Aprés Beach Wave and Shine Spray) for an extra beachy look.
Silk Hair Curlers
These silk hair curlers are a great alternative to Mirsalehi's curling technique for those who want a little extra care. Silk ensures smooth and shiny hair.
Granny's Curlers
Our last and oldest tip is to use curlers to curl your hair. Our mothers and grandmothers used them, so why not us? The hair is wrapped strand by strand around the curler, and secured with pins. Although, heat is often used with this traditional method as hydrogen bonds are formed between the keratin chains of the hair during drying. So get out those curlers and start curling!
