From television reboots to rhinestone-embedded looks, Y2K aesthetics are without a doubt at the forefront of our popular culture—and beauty trends are no exception. While the resurgence of nostalgia culture isn't a particularly new phenomenon, the optimism during this early technological age allowed for experimental, borderline futuristic looks that perfectly align with today's values. Black culture also served in popularizing familiar beauty trends with Destiny's Child making waves in both the fashion and beauty sector.
