Blue Lindeberg is Going Her Own Way

There was no guarantee Blue Lindeberg would turn out anything like her parents. Success and skill, at least when it comes to the game of genetics, can be a crapshoot. But the 18-year-old daughter of Johan and Marcella Lindeberg seems to have inherited not only her parents’ passion for creative arts, but their ability to multi-task as well.
While most women Blue’s age are just figuring out how to get around campus halfway through their first year of university, the native New Yorker, who has opted to study in Paris, is instead managing how to balance the life she has created for herself.
A model and actress (she is signed to IMG Models and appeared in Tara Subkoff’s pop-noir film #Horror), Lindeberg has been surrounded her entire life by edgy creativity: her father, Johan, is the founder of the eponymous line J. Lindeberg. Both parents worked as the creative directors of Justin Timberlake’s line, William Rast, and ran the creative consulting agency Paris68 together.
“Family truly means everything to me. I am blessed to have two creative parents in the fashion industry that have helped me stay grounded and express myself in the purest way possible,” young Lindeberg says.
Instead of following directly in her parent’s stylish footsteps, Blue has taken her abundance of talents in different directions. Right now, they have taken her to Paris.
“I am studying a mixture of sociology and biology at the moment but will be switching gears to psychology soon. My dream is to become an art therapist, combining my love for art, children, and psychology.”
(Also on Blue’s to-do list: “Start painting again. Oil-painting has always been a massive passion of mine, but I have been attempting to find a more sustainable way of expressing myself artistically.”)
Although her father was born in Sweden, Blue was born in NYC, hence why she says she likes “to think that I bring some New York attitude to Paris. I’m not sure my style has changed so much since I have been here. I have a new, glowing inner confidence that has really grown since I moved to Europe.”
Her main style staple consists of overalls, she says, admitting “from a tight-fitting '70s overall to a super loose pink one, I have about 12 in my apartment closet right now and more in storage.” When she’s not donning those, the gap-toothed model can usually be found in baggy jeans and oversized tees like any other college student. Well, maybe not just like any other student—but almost.
Like many a Pisces, Lindeberg is compassionate and easygoing—two qualities that come across in her overall-wearing habit and her art therapist path. According to Susan Miller, new friends will be drawn to Pisces in 2020. L'Officiel teamed up with the famed astrologist to predict what 2020 holds for each Pisces, as well as all zodiac signs. For Pisces, a beauty look with a nude lip will always be in style.
