Tiffany & Co. Is Supporting Young International Artists

The 2018 Studiomakers Prize winners have just been announced and seven of this year’s extraordinary graduates are being commended for representing a new era of artistic talent in a variety of realms from luxury to cultural identity, sustainability to body politics. As well as a year-long rent-free studio in London, the Outset Contemporary Art Fund in collaboration with Tiffany & Co., are encouraging the public to meet the artists and visit the awardees’ works in the brand new Tiffany concept store in Covent Garden.

This award is also part of a larger initiative—in both the public and private sphere—to create spaces for young creative talent to develop their thought and practice. Moreover, since its first edition in 2017, the awardees of the Studiomakers Prize have displayed an unexpectedly strong sense of solidarity and exciting cross-creative flow that goes beyond what Outset and Tiffany had initially expected: “The seven sponsored studios have formed a cluster of creativity and dialogue,” Candida Gertler O.B.E., Co-Founder and Chairperson of Outset, explained. Consistent with their long-standing tradition of excellence in art and design, Tiffany & Co. and the Outset Contemporary Art Fund are veritably championing the next generation of young artists.
