The Best Looks From the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards
From known and loved artist Katy Perry to fan-favorite newcomer Tate McRae, here's the iHeartRadio Music Awards best dressed list.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards, celebrated at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on April 1, were hosted by rapper Ludacris and honored music's most celebrated and beloved stars. Instead of a red carpet, the iHeartRadio Music Awards held a yellow carpet this year, a thematic choice meant to remind viewers to "live in the moment." Singers including Katy Perry, Jennifer Hudson, and newcomer Tate McRae took to the carpet to channel some young, flirty, and fun looks. While the sartorial choices of awards ceremonies like the Oscars, Emmys, and Grammys air more on the serious and conservative side, the iHeartRadio Music Awards allow our favorite celebs to have some fun with dressing for events. Among those who graced the carpet was Tori Spelling, who reportedly wore her daughter's crop top and plaid pants as a result of a fashion emergency, and Katy Perry, who donned an alluring netted dress paired with a stunning set of scrunched black boots. Jennifer Hudson wore a dazzling sequin high-neck midi dress with feathered hems at the sleeves. Cher, the biggest honoree of the evening, wore an edgy cowgirl-inspired outfit bedazzled with gems.
There were some missing faces on the yellow carpet, though, as Beyoncé was only present for the awards and Taylor Swift wasn't able to make it at all. However, Taylor Swift and Beyonce were awarded for their recent contributions to music during the ceremony. Beyoncé took home the Innovator Award, which was presented to her by none other than Stevie Wonder. The singer thanked Wonder for his inspirational contributions to music and to her recently released album, Cowboy Carter. Taylor Swift won artist of the year, and while she wasn't present at the awards to accept the honor, the singer-songwriter expressed her thanks for the award via a recorded video.
The event also honored Cher with the Icon Award and took the stage to sing her hit 1998 single "Believe" with Jennifer Hudson.
